While enjoying your Disneyland holiday, it would be a shame not to take time out to explore the amazing city of Paris. You are only 32km (20 miles) away from the city centre itself. The Eiffel Tower, the Mammoth Louvre Museum or the wonderful Cathedral of Notre-Dame, are all waiting to be explored. You also have access to a large choice of excursions available, direct from the Disney Park.
You have the option to enjoy the tours at your own pace or participate in a more organized tour, with experts on hand to guide you round. Either way, you will see some breathtaking sites and create memories that will last a lifetime.
One of the new organized tours is The Royal Versailles. This tour takes you to the Palace of Versailles and spectacular gardens, were you can enjoy a walk around. Setting off in the morning on a comfortable travel bus, and returning to Disneyland Paris in the afternoon. While in Paris, you have 4hours of free time which gives you plenty of opportunity to have a good look round this world famous site, which includes Marie-Antoinett's Estate. You also have the benefit of a personal Audio-guide for the palace tour, as well as priority access tickets.
Another popular tour is the Magical Tour of Paris. This leaves from the Hotel New York, and includes a stewardess and a personal audio-guide. It also gives you admission to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower and a relaxing cruise on the river Seine In addition you can enjoy a tour of all the major Paris attractions. Again, you have plenty of free time to explore. Or you may choose to relax and perhaps enjoy a classic afternoon tea, or a classy cocktail or two.
The Paris evening tour also leaves direct from Disney Park. To see Paris at night is truly magical You will soon realise why it's called the city of lights, and is an ideal way to round off an exciting day in the park. Simply relax on a comfortable coach and see this amazing city go by, all lit up. The whole family will be enthralled.
For those wishing to enjoy the sights of Paris independently, a good option is the one day 'Visit Paris' R A T P travel card this gives you unlimited travel by metro, and bus, directly from Disneyland Paris. This Paris Discovery tour also gives you entry into the Louvre Museum plus a trip down the Seine, and includes lots of information packs to guide you round.
So whichever way you decide to see the sights, find time to see the capitals roster of boutiques, department stores and markets, as well as stunning gardens, green parks and pretty avenues that together to make this beautiful city.

For a relaxing stay in an outdoor environment Disney's Davy Crockett 's Ranch will prove the ideal destination. Set deep in the forest, in 140 acres of forest and woodland, it consists of 595 cabins, well spaced out to give you lots of room to enjoy this natural setting And the good news is you are still only 15 minutes drive from the Disney parks and village.
The accommodation is in the form of two bedroom cabins that sleep up to six. These cabins benefit from air-con and are roomier, with the addition of an extra shower room, perfect for the bigger family. Outside you can enjoy your private terrace and barbecue. You will find these Premium cabins have excellent locations, near the Ranch village, and also have the benefit of wi-fi access, plus extra towels and bathrobes.
For your recreation you are able to relax in the Saloon Bar and enjoy country music, or Karaoke, while enjoying a refreshing drink. For those wishing to dine out, why not try Davy Crockett's Tavern, serving home-style favourites buffet style with a frontier inspired decor. You can also sample a take-out breakfast to have in your own cabin.
There is a grocery shop on site for those who prefer to cook and dine in.
You will also find an exotic indoor pool, complete with waterfalls and slides, plus a whirlpool bath, and for those feeling more energetic you have the use off a covered tennis and basket ball court.
All the family will enjoy the Treetop Nature Trail, which takes you high up on rope bridges and swings, skimming over tree tops, a great outdoor adventure. Little ones will love the pony rides, or looking around the small farm, complete with animals, plus there is an outdoor play area, with a little Indian camp and teepees for them to play in. Older children have the use of an Arcade/Games room, so you can be happy in the knowledge that there is something for everyone at this ideal location - especially for those looking for a country retreat and still near all the thrills of Disneyland Paris.

Kids will love the indoor and outdoor pools with waterfalls and slides, plus there is an outdoor play area, and indoor kids corner.
They can also breakfast with Mickey, or Dine With Goofy (for an extra cost), and of course lots of photo opportunities. Parents will enjoy a relaxing drink in the Redwood Bar & lounge, with its cosy real fire, or a hearty meal at the Hunters Grill, or Creek Tavern, both serving an excellent choice of menus. Both are within a twenty minute walk from the parks, or you can take the free shuttle which gets you there in just five minutes. Built like a western town, with 14 double floor buildings (which houses the accommodation), overlooking the center street, all are decorated western style like a picturesque old town, kids will love it. There are also pony rides, and a fort themed play area, plus a games arcade, to keep them amused. You can enjoy a drink at the Red Garter Saloon or the Chuck Wagon Cafe serves an all you can eat lunch Or perhaps try a buffet style dinner with some great western flavours.
The hotel Santa Fe, is another option for those on a budget. Here the accommodation is decorated and themed in a Mexican style, and again is excellent value. For those looking for a more basic base to stay after the excitement of the Disney Parks, you will find it the perfect place to unwind. There is the Rio Grand Bar, where some evenings you can enjoy live music, and at the La Cantina Restaurant you can enjoy New Mexico style buffet. For bigger parties family rooms are available and you will find parking close by. You are always assured of a warm welcome, and good hospitality at this friendly hotel.

Sometimes families prefer to stay in apartments as they can provide the space and flexibility not always on offer in hotel rooms. If you want a self catering holiday, apartments are a great choice too. We have mentioned below a few of our favourite apartments within easy reach by train to the Disney Parks. We think you will find them excellent value for money.
4 Star Residence Val D'Europe Apartments
If you are looking for apartments convenient for Eurodisney then the 4 Star Aparthotel Residence Prestige Val D'Europe is highly recommended. This is a purpose built block of comfortable apartments built around a hotel like reception area. The apartments are situated close to Disneyland Paris.

3 Star Hotels Near Disneyland Paris
If you're looking for a clean and comfortable base to explore all that Disneyland Paris has to offer then we love the Explorers Hotel and the Tulip Inn. Both hotels are well located for visiting the parks and offer fantastic value for money.
Explorers Hotel ***
If you're the type of person who likes to have plenty to do within the hotel and close vicinity then the welcoming Explorers Hotel could be for you.
Recommended especially for families it is a very family friendly place to stay and has plenty of repeat visitors because of the standard of the rooms and the service.
The Explorers hotel benefits from a fantastic location close to the Disney Parks and has 3 bars, a choice of 3 dining establishments, games rooms and a 24 hour reception.
